Looking for someone to accompany me for endoscopy
My husband is unable to travel with me and I have an endoscopy scheduled. I know they won't discharge me back to the motel without someone to be with me through part of the day. Is there a group of volunteers or someone I can hire just to help get me back to the motel and be around for a few hours after the scope?

Hello,
I have the endoscopy 7/31 mid morning and will be done by early afternoon. I just need somewhere there for them to discharge me to in order to make sure I get back to the motel ok. (make sure I get to the shuttle). So it's literally just an escort from the appointment to the shuttle.
Thanks!
Steph
Thank you.
@skhollandmt you could have them send for a wheelchair and a person to wheel you down to meet the hotel shuttle. This is a service they provide if needed. If just making it to the shuttle is all you need, it would be the easiest solution. Hope this helps!
Hello, @skhollandmt. In Rochester we have a few companion services that could accompany you after your appointment. The information for two services that you can find in Rochester is bellow.
Visiting Angels (507)-289-1147
Quality Care (507)-258-4578
Quality Care was started by a former Mayo Clinic staff and understands the needs that patients have when at Mayo Clinic.
