Looking for a Pancreatitis specialist in the DFW area

Hi guys, I was just diagnosed with pancreatitis after having an EUS yesterday. It was hard work even getting my gastro to refer me for it even with the back and abdominal pain, weight loss and surprise diabetes diagnosis, so I'd like to meet with someone who specializes in this in the Dallas / DFW area. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I can understand you wanting to consult with a pancreatic specialist. Have you considered contacting the National Pancreas Foundation. They have a lot of information for patients, and they also have state chapters listed on their website. Here is a link to the foundation's website:

If you contact them, they might be able to give you a referral for a specialist in your area.

Are your current doctors offering you help to alleviate the symptoms you are experiencing?

Thanks so much, I just found a location in Dallas on their website so I'll give them a shot.

Current docs prescribed me with zenpep and it's probably too early to say if that will do anything for the pain but I'd like to get in touch with someone who truly specializes in this area
