Looking for a Neuropsychotherapist in Arizona
Dear all,
I am looking for A neuropsychotherapist, which is a mental health professional who integrates principles of neuroscience into their psychotherapeutic practice for my hunsband who has parkinson.
As you know, Neuropsychotherapy can help individuals with Parkinson's disease by addressing the cognitive, emotional, and behavioral changes associated with the condition. It helps manage symptoms like depression, anxiety, and cognitive decline, which are common in Parkinson's, and can improve overall quality of life.
Does anynoe knows of a provider, preferably accepts medicare and its supplements in Arizona? Apprecaite it!

University of Arizona has a neuropsych program. Department of Neuroscience

One of the staff may know who is in practice in Tucson.
You could also try Banner's (associated with University of Arizona) Alzheimer Institute at 2626 E River Rd. Tucson, AZ 85718 (520) 694-7021. They may have a list of Medicare approved neuropsych PhDs in practice.
The mental health unit at the Veteran's administration on 6th Ave has a neuropsych person on staff if your spouse is a veteran.
Also check with the Area Agency on Aging Pima County
Thank you so much! I just called them and they do not have anyone on staff. There is only one doctor who does evaluation for establised patients only.
What about recent graduates?
Most departments follow their PhD graduates and know where they can be located.
I used a neuropsychologist here in Tucson may be able to contact him and see if he has availability for a new patient...
I just called the Banner hospital number that you gave me and the admin said that they cannot share any list or any doctors if my husband is not their patient.
Thank you again!
