Long-term stomach problems from being on GLP ones for 3+ years

I started a GLP ones in 2022. I started out with Mojarro and switched this last February to semi glide because of cost after I started taking it in February I had two episodes of vomiting and then I switched locations of shot the next week had three days of vomiting multiple times a day decided to discontinue the medication since then I’ve had continuous stomach problems, stomach pain acid reflex, and have a hard time eating and I’m nauseated most of the day has anyone had anything similar? I’ve been off the meds for six weeks now it is getting better but the nausea still there every day and hard for me to eat much.

Yes, some people who have taken GLP-1 medications long term, including Mounjaro and semaglutide-based drugs, do report ongoing stomach problems even after stopping the medication because these drugs intentionally slow stomach emptying and digestion, and in some individuals that effect seems to persist for weeks or occasionally longer, leading to symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, acid reflux, stomach pain, bloating, difficulty eating and feeling full very quickly, sometimes resembling Gastroparesis or severe irritation of the stomach lining, so while it is encouraging that your symptoms are gradually improving after 6 weeks off the medication, many people with similar experiences say recovery can be frustratingly slow and it is definitely worth discussing with your doctor since persistent nausea and poor food intake can sometimes require evaluation for delayed gastric emptying, dehydration, gastritis, reflux damage or gallbladder-related complications.

@jayanthk The potential for these side effects, possibly permanently, is unacceptable to me - I won't take these drugs for this reason. I don't want permanent nausea - it is miserable. Everyone has to decide for themselves if it is worth it. To me, it isn't.

@jayanthk The potential for these side effects, possibly permanently, is unacceptable to me - I won't take these drugs for this reason. I don't want permanent nausea - it is miserable. Everyone has to decide for themselves if it is worth it. To me, it isn't.

@lylii blindness is another side affect of them ..
