Lodging during transplant

My husband needs a stem cell transplant for multiple myeloma and we are looking for lodging. Has anyone stayed with Serenity House Network.

Hi @bscham I just want to make sure you’re talking about coming to the Mayo Rochester Campus…
If so, there are a number of members who have used the Serenity House Network to secure longterm lodging. A fellow mentor, @naturegirl5 had this to share with a member not long ago. It’s in another discussion about radiation but the lodging is similar…an extended stay:

There are many other options as well for long term lodging. The Gift of Hope Transplant house is another group environment you might look into. It’s near the clinic and has shuttles several times per day. The rooms are private but there are shared common areas.
With a Stem Cell Transplant your husband will be making frequent trips to the clinic. The Gift of Hope Transplant house saves a couple of those visits by being able to have blood draws there which are sent to the clinic for processing.
There’s another discussion group with quite a few replies on where to stay long term. In that conversation I posted a number of ideas under this title:

I stayed in Rochester 4 months with my Allogenic Bone Marrow Transplant where my husband and I set up our little home away from home in the Marriott Residence Inn.

Do you have any questions regarding your husband’s transplant?

Thank you so much. Glad to hear others have stayed at Serenity House and were pleased. I think that is the place for us.
My husband is having the autologous stem cell transplant and we don’t have any questions at this time. But thank you.
