shortshot80) Hi Colleen, I haven't been here for the last several weeks. The celebration of life for my husband was on June 2, have been trying to get a firm hold on my feelings these days. It is lonely here at my house even though one of my son's is here. My little dog Abbi, is lonely also. It has been hard (really) hard for the past month. I haven't been here to visit with Teresa, you, or anyone else. Now It's time to talk. For some reason when I tried to get on here this evening, my password didn't work, so did another so I can get back here among the living. Thanks for listening! Nancy
Nancy, I have been here lurking for a month or so but your post on losing your husband gave me the bump I needed to reply. I too lost my husband almost 8 months ago after spending almost a year in and out of the hospital with him. I was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer August 2013 and given the 6-12 months to live. My story is long but I just wanted to let you know that I am walking your steps right ahead of you. I am glad you have family and support. The fog, confusion and amount of phone calls/paper work is enough to make you crazy. Reach out to me anytime...Karen
Colleen, I posted on the lung cancer group this morning. Did I get it right? I’m not sure what I’m doing on my computer!
Many of you have met volunteer Mentor, Linda @llwortman. Recently, she was featured in our Member Spotlight. Enjoy getting to know more about Linda and what inspires her to help others on Connect.

Welcome to Connect, @pc2018. I invite you to share your experience with lung cancer and recent surgery with the members of the Lung Cancer group here.
I'd also like to invite @marylou705 to join this discussion. She just had a lobectomy recently as well. I hope you connect with each other and the other members of the group.
So very, very sorry for your loss. Prayers for strength to you now and over time as you grieve the loss of your husband.
@shortshot80, I have not met you before, however, I just happened on your message. I want to offer my condolences to you on recent passing of your husband. Take the time for yourself that you need. You have much to deal with right now, and it is imperative that you stay on top of your self care especially while having the immune therapy sessions. You are fortunate to be blessed with your children and your grandchildren who are taking care of the business side of things during this difficult time, I will be thinking of you and your family as you will be together for the celebration of life event. I pray that the love and the memories of 67 years will bring you the strength to carry on each and every day that lies ahead.
You and your husband are an inspiration to me. 67 years together is a real testimony of love at its finest.
God bless,
Rosemary
shortshot80( Nancy) I forgot I was in here sometime in the last two weeks. Here I am repeating myself. Sorry, really didn't mean to. Oh well, what a mixed up person I am right now!
Hello, (shortshot80 - Nancy) Hi I have been here now over two years. I have two kinds of lung cancer. Here we can talk about anything. It has been a couple of weeks since I've been in here. I have had my second session of "immune therapy" Due for another on the 29th. I have had a stressful two weeks, My husband of 67 years passed away two weeks ago tomorrow. Have been busy getting things done, along with our kids for a "celebration of life on June 2. All four have been helping do everything. Obituary notice, Granddaughter did this. Great job too. Daughter doing all the paper work. I've been in "left field" all this time since he passed. Just really tired. Goes with the territory! My three boys are doing things also. I will be back in a day or two, just think I should be doing other things. But.......Things will get better, it just takes time! Nancy
Thank you for your reply. I’m not having my surgery at Mayo. I live in CO so am going locally. My chest still hurts from when I took a fall two weekends ago. I damaged the cartilage in my sternum and having trouble taking a full breath. I am dizzy due to a stroke about 4 months back. It never rains but it pours!
