Ok, you don't want to tell us. That's fine. But you asked about what can be done about her pain. We don't know any particulars and you obviously are very private but without more information we can't make suggestions. If your doctor is holistic and he prescribed you mom an herbal painkiller than it doesn't sound like it's helping her.

She is taking painkillers prescribed by her doctor.....

@samanthaezu, I've been following the conversation you've been having with @merpreb and agree with the advice you've been offered.

It is, of course, every patient's right to decide whether they wish to have treatment or not. I'd like to understand why your mum has decided not to have surgery, chemotherapy or radiation. Does she have Stage 2 Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC)? Treatment success rate for stage 2 NSCLC is higher than later stages.

Have you considered integrative cancer treatment? Integrative therapies complement rather than replace conventional Western medical care. Integrative practices use complementary therapies together with standard cancer treatments like surgery, chemo and radiation and may help people with cancer and persistent pain.

Might integrative cancer treatment be an option that you and your mum might consider? Like @merpreb, I'd like to know what pain medication or therapy she has been prescribed.

I noticed that she is only taking holistic meds for cancer. What are the painkillers that she is taking?

You must be seeing an holistic doctor, one who only uses herbal remedies. I must caution you about this. In the best of times even the strongest chemicals don't kill cancer. You really should be seeing an Oncologist. An Oncologist can help with pain management too. If you can't get your mom's pain in check she might be too run down to fight the cancer.

But the main problem here is the pain she groans in pain the pain is on her left arm and shoulder....she is taking painkillers

On the month of May she has undergone all types of scan and there she was diagnosed with lung cancer stage two......and after that we have gone through only natural treatments....just a month back she has started taking Oncotame an ayurvedic medicine for cancer .....the doctors of this specialist told that this medicine will start to arrest the cancer cells after 3 months
