Liver cancer and bone cancer
I was diagnosed with breast cancer 3 1/2 years ago and I had a mastectomy. Now I find out I have 3 lesions on my liver and a couple of places in my bones. My oncologist is quickly jumping for me to have chemotherapy again. The first time I went through chemotherapy it was a nightmare. I stayed in bed for a year!! I was so sick and I wanted to die. I was even looking for ways to end my life because the suffering was too much.
I want to try other options and I’m curious if this has worked for anyone.
I want to do RAF and take the Keytruda for a year. I can’t see what it would hurt? She also told me there wasn’t a cure for me but I could be treated.
Has anyone ever had cyberknife to remove the lesions and take an immunotherapy pill?
And if so what was the outcome. And has anyone lived past the 5 year mark? Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.

1 ReactionHi Gina. I have been fighting metastatic breast cancer for 7 years. First mastectomy right breast. Radiation and hormonal treatment. In 2017. Then in spring 2021it showed up again in my left humerus bone. Shoulder. Reconstruction. Radiation and imuno therapy. In spring of 2022. Showed up in tail bone region. Radiation and new imuno therapy Ibranz. Worked until 2023. When it showed up in spine and hip. Changed imuno meds to truqap. Worked until it spread to my liver different vertebrae in spine. Amd hip. Tried new imuno therapy. Failed to work. Tried full body chemo. Failed to work and just finished my y9 liver infusion. And will go back for enhurtu chemo. Some I am only allowed cat and pet scans every 6 months per insurance. Most of the cost of the pill medication is covered by insurance or pharmaceutical company grants for co pays. The time between treatment changes has been 6 months even if the medication did not kill all the cancer it did help to stop its growth. We are playing whack a mole with my cancer now. The side effects have been hard. One was chronic projectile diarrhea. One made my bleeding is sugar spike to the 400 on the daily. I was injecting insulin for that one. One just made me tired. The nausea I took pills and ate lots of crackers. One made me gain 50 lbs. one made me lose 60lbs. I am 65 years old and have kept a positive attitude to fight it the best I can. Figure out on the side effects what works and doesn’t work for you. And if your doc doesn’t have answers ask for a second opinion. Trusting your team is the number one priority.
