Lipoprotein (a), Inflammation and PMR

Has anyone had their doctor talk to them about Lipoprotein(a) as a genetic driver of inflammation? And any relationship to PMR?

I cannot post links but reference artherosclerosis journal and CDC.

My PMR has been in remission the past 5 years but in my previous 2 occurrences of PMR I have not read of any relationship between PMR and Lipoprotein(a) but it wouldn't surprise me if there was. Have you discussed your question with your rheumatologist or doctor?

Yes talked with rheumatologist and doctor had not looked into it. Typically it is cardiologists that are familiar with lipo(a). Have found that little people can do to reduce it, not a lot of focus. I just thought it might be interesting as a risk factor. I’m younger than most people with PMR (58 at diagnosis). Wondering “why me”?
