Lichen Planus Arms and Legs (not oral)
Anyone dealing with Lichen Planus? Torso only, not oral. Arms and legs. 3rd recurrence over the years. So far have tried only topical treatments. Years ago had some light treatments, not sure UAV or what. Thanks.

For flare ups triamcinalone injection or oral prednisone can offer relief
if you don’t have any conflict with other medical conditions. There are newer
immune blockers that may work but they are costly and off label for some
insurance coverage.
Have been using triamcinalone as a topical. Did not know about injections. Do you know the name the immune blockers?
Thanks
NEMLUVIO. stops the itching.
I am on RENVOQ. Was given 28 day samples. My LP is also on my arms and legs. 90%.of my
lesions have flattened! Renvoq
is not FDA approved for LP. I am waiting for the doctor
to get approval from Ins. Co.
Has anyone else run into the problem of having a drug that
is FDA approved but not for
your condition?
@furreyann thanks for the information. Not familiar with either of those medications.
The other thing I would like to know is if there are Dermatologists out there that specialize in Lichen Planus. Like at Mayo perhaps.
Are there Dermatologists that specialize in Lichen Planus does anyone know? Like at Mayo Clinic or somewhere. Dallas area would be more convenient. Or should I be looking for an autoimmune specialist?
