Anyone use Lexapro along with Eliquis?

I would suggest talking with your doctor again, since the pharmacist recommended against it. The following text is copied and pasted directly from the Eliquis website, which you can search for yourself:
ELIQUIS can cause bleeding, which can be serious, and rarely may lead to death. This is because
ELIQUIS is a blood thinner medicine that reduces blood clotting.
You may have a higher risk of bleeding if you take ELIQUIS and take other medicines that
increase your risk of bleeding, such as aspirin, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (called
NSAIDs), warfarin, heparin, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) or serotonin
norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs), and other medicines to help prevent or treat
blood clots. Tell your doctor about all of the medicines you take, including any over-the-counter
medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements.

I’m always concerned about possible drug interactions. I collect the pharmaceutical literature inserts from the medications I take. Your pharmacist is an invaluable addition to your team. The difficulty arises when your pharmacist and medical provider have differing opinions. Make sure they are “under the same roof”. Use the info / links provided by members here to present to them. Then maybe you can help them “get on the same page”.

Hello. I am 73M, with BMI of 26.0
I have been on Eliquis 5mg twice a day for 9 years and Lexapro 20mg once a day for more than 2 years.
I never had any bleeding, and till today not even aware of any interactions between Eliquis and Lexapro.
Out of my own interest, I got INR / PT done recently, and have values of 1.1 and 12.2 respectively, showing no sign of increased chances of bleeding.
Also, I understand there has been a study reported by AHA, saying the same thing, no interaction.
I guess you could contine taking both, but be observant about any signs of bleeding.

I see this is an older post but here’s what I can add: My mother, age 79, was prescribed Lexapro and Eliquis. No one told us about possible interactions. About 10 months after being on both, maybe closer to 12 months, she developed internal bleed in her stomach— very bad. She lost a lot of blood and her RBC count and Iron levels were super low landing her in the hospital for over a week. When we googled and saw things online about possible interaction, I mentioned to the NURSE at the hospital that I was worried about lexapro and eliquis. The nurse said “thanks for telling us, we will stop the lexapro”, and we did. The stomach bleed was discovered, fixed, etc, and we have never put her back on lexapro. The doctors all claim, and continued to say even after all this, that her bleed was not attributable to her taking lexapro and eliquist together. However, my mom never had any issue like this before; and, it’s been 16 months since, and thank goodness so far no more internal bleeding in her stomach (again, she has NEVER gone back on the lexapro). I think your pharmacist knows something and I am extremely disappointed in the medical community for not being more up front about this. How can it be that all the other things are such risks, but Eliquis and lexapro aren’t? And ,t here is a warning too on the label, no?
