What do you think of Lexapro?

Anyone on Lexapro? Do you like it? Does it work? How do you feel?

I have been on Lexapro, started at 5 and have been on 10 now for 3 years. I do not know what I would feel like off of it, but I feel fine. I am very sensitive to meds and usually take half of what the doc prescribes and I have had no side effects. Lucky, I guess. I did not take it for depression. I took it for ruminating thoughts and it has helped me tremendously.

I thought Lexapro was helping my husband, and guess it did with his sundowners. But, now, he is having more frequent and severe, memory problems and confusion. Don’t know if it’s the Lexapro, or what.

I had a horrible experience on Lexapro. I ended up in the emergency room feeling like my anxiety had escalated to a point I could not control, I could not concentrate on anything. It was a frightening experience. I’m now back on Paxil.
