Boyfriend put on levetiracetam (Keppra), what will happen?

My boyfriend had a seizure three wks ago. Put on med. but can't find out what caused it. 69 great health this came out of nowhere. I looked at him 7:01 am and took him to er. Thank God I didn't let him sleep. No sign

Aleger123,hope he is doing ok.Ive been having grand mals since i was 6 now 63,with me ,had good streaks ,go a couple years seizure free and bad streaks.Thing is never really found any sure reason,could be fatige,or stress or tiredness.Sometimes felt great got seizure ,sometimes at night sometimes in morning..In my life no reason at all.Just got done having 5 grand mals in 6 weeks.now on keppra and vimpat.Before that was seizure free for 5 years.

Thanks for your reply. Why did this happen. His health was great. Nobody can give me a reason. I see a big difference in him. He says he feels foggy all the time. Repeats a lot of question. Is he going to stay like this. I scared all the time. Looking for answers

Aleger123,i wish i knew why this happens,after 50 plus years no answers.When i do get a seizure im not myself for days,memory bad woozy,sometimes going into a convultion i hit my head onthings ,bureaus,tables tubs,takes awhile to recover,he should recover. takes time,if he doesnt get better soon see a doctor.

Do you accompany your boyfriend on his visits to the doctor? Are you able to get more explanation from his medical team on what is going on or what you can expect?
