Hi @varese1953 Welcome to Mayo Connect. You’ve a few serious diagnoses in your lifetime with having HIV, heart issues and then developing AML (acute myeloid leukemia) 6 years ago. It looks as though you’re handling this situation quite well because each one of those is challenging. Are you currently taking any medications for HIV? What is your treatment plan for the AML?

@varese1953 Honestly, I’d say you’re handling all of this really well! Considering you have AML for 6 years and basically, a potentially debilitating virus that’s been under control for 20. That’s remarkable. AML isn’t an easy cancer. The treatment and the cancer itself can cause the tiredness. Especially if you have low red blood counts, that can bring on deep fatigue. This is where you get to take guilt-free naps! 😅

Actually your comments are very encouraging for anyone else who has HIV and/or AML. Your treatments are working and though you are having to compensate with red blood and platelet transfusions occasionally, you’re still getting up every morning, enjoying each day as it comes. ☺️
