Left ventricle leather
I was just at the Mayo Clinic yesterday and was diagnosed with leather of the left ventricle. I had right and left catheterization and was told that I’d have to be put on special medication to repair this condition. Symptoms are severe shortness of breath. Dizziness when bending over shortness of breath. cannot go outside and hot temperatures, causing severe shortness of breath. Cardiologist told me I’d have to be on special medication with this prognosis still waiting for the Mayo to get back to me with the type of medication’s. What do I do in the time being while I wait for the medication to be given to m? ?

Ask a Cardiologist what can help you in the meantime. I am not a doctor but I had severe obstructive HCOM and losing weight by eating healthier low fat low sugar low salt with smaller amount of food helped me a lot. This was me so please ask your Cardiologist what can you do. Good luck.
Thank you for your response. I have an appointment August 28 with my APRRN to go over type of medication’s. They’re gonna put me on with this obstructive hypertropic myopathy. I also heard medication is very expensive and it might have to resort to open-heart surgery.
The cost of the medicine (CAMZYOS) can be covered by insurance, if not, then search some insurance plans (mine is the gold plan and they cover for me Camzyos worth $8,500 per month!! I only pay $10 copay since the manufacturer of Camzyos covers me the high copay of around $190 per month). This is the weblink for the insurance:

If you have access to Medicare some plans cover that one too.
If you are on low income then, the Cardiologist "that is licensed to prescribe Camzyos" must have a nurse who can help you to fill out the paperwork to apply through Bristol Myers Squibb (they are the ones who manufacture this medicine Camzyos) so you can apply for assistance to pay the medicine for you. Notice not all Cardiologists are licensed to prescribe Camzyos for they require to be certified to prescribe that medicine.
If you need help to find out in your area which Cardiologist is certified to prescribe that medicine you can search in this weblink:

I hope this helps. If you have any question, please let me know.
