Latex allergy and appliances

Hello,
I have a severe latex allergy which may be getting worse. Several months ago, the belt on our dryer needed to be replaced. After having it professionally replaced, upon using the dryer, I had a reaction: coughing, sneezing, and itchy throat. The reaction persisted until I had a family member thoroughly clean the laundry room. I suspect that the belt has latex in it; however, when I had it replaced a few years ago it didn't cause any reactions for me. Has anyone experienced this problem? I have not been able to use my dryer for almost a year due to this issue. Even the laundromat or a friend's dryer are not options for me due to reactions to residue left in the dryer from typical laundry detergents. Thanks for any suggestions.
