If you can travel to Mayo - Rochester, Dr. Wong Kee Song removes complex polyps endoscopically. I had several large flat polyps he removed. Please check Mayo’s GI Department website for more info.

1 ReactionWhat size was your flat polys and location if you don’t mind sharing.
I do not mind traveling . I was already researching Mayo, Clevand clinic, and Emory. Just wanted to find a doctor that does more with success rate.
Was your benign, precancerous etc

1 ReactionThe largest was 3.5 cm and I had others 2-3 cm. They were scattered throughout the colon with the largest one in the ascending colon. They were mostly sessile serrated adenomas - precancerous and some were hyperplastic. Mayo has doctors trained in EMR and ESD and endoscopic removal of large flat polyps is achievable with the right doctor. I found there are not many who have the advanced training necessary for these complex removals. Hope this helps!

1 ReactionFollowing your post. Have a flat polyp going in for another colonoscopy next week. Had one six months ago. Polyp not cancer. Local doctor scraped.
Suggested taking out appendix if necessary after this colonoscopy if necessary. After research polyps at this location are usually found at autopsy.
