Knoxville Tennessee second opinion

Posted by galla4 @galla4, Mar 20, 2023

Hi,
I was recently diagnosed with MAC Lung through a CT scan for another issue. I have no cough, SOB, night sweats or weight loss. The CT scan showed bronchiectasis and lung nodules. I so not produce sputum and no bronchoscope was performed for a definite bacteria. The pulmonologist at my community hospital recommended watchful waiting and a repeat CT scan in 6 months. I would like to get a second opinion. I live close to the University of Tennessee and would like to know if anyone can recommend a pulmonologist at UT.
Thank you.

When we lived in Tennessee I went to Vanderbilt and had a wonderful ID doctor and surgeon Dr. LaRue. I realize Nashville is a bit far, but he is excellent. Feel free to look him up. My friend in Kentucky also goes to him for MAC. ( irene5)
