Glad you're well. The funny thing is, when you're OK, you have a ton of problems, but when you're sick... I'm a fighter. I know I'll have some more rough times, but that just means I'm not being in the moment. I don't take meds for my PD, don't like to support Big Pharma. I'll get by without 'mother's little helpers.' Heck, without tranq's, I may even experience life without being in a drug-induced fog before my time's up. And it may take some time, but it's something to look forward to. Thanks for your reply.
Of course I believe in god; only an arrogant fool would not. For me, it is all around, Mother Nature. And I spend as much of my life as I can embracing her. If there is evil in the world, it is humans. The stupidity and cruelty of some knows no bounds. You have a good heart, Kitty. Please be well.
@kittymama I was on 2mg Klonopin for many, many years. Just recently I got my doctor to help me make a plan to get off because it no longer worked for my anxiety. She helped me make a plan to taper by 0.125mg every two weeks. My tablets come in 0.5mg so I take away 1/4 of a tablet every 2 weeks. It is easy because my tablets are scored so they're easy to break into quarter tablets. I take my Klonopin divided into three doses a day. So far it is working but with some increased anxiety and "brain zaps" both of which are hard to cope with but I am determined to get through this. Good luck to you. If I could give any advice it would be to get your doctor involved and keep them involved for the duration of your taper. I see my doctor every 2 weeks. We talk about how I am feeling, do I need to slow the taper, or am I coping with the withdrawal symptoms fairly well. Hope this helps. Blessings.
I understand the reduction of 0.125mg every 2 weeks but how does that work if you are taking a split dose. I take 0.5mg twice a day, how would I work the reduction.

I meant with a split dose of 0.5mg am and pm, how do toy organise the reductions. Do you reduce the evening tablet on one day then the morning tablet the next etc.I don’t know if I’ve made it clear but I hope you understand what I mean

I'm new to these forums so forgive me if the new the Joint Clinical Practice Guideline on Benzodiazepine Tapering (sorry, apparently links aren't allowed--just google that and you'll find them, or refer to the ASAM website) have already been shared/discussed. There's also a good podcast episode/blog post on Easing Anxiety by one of the committee members with lived experience.
The guidelines include taper recommendations and emphasize that the decision to taper should be made jointly between the person and doctor...which I personally am very happy to see, as I've been forced to taper too fast in the past and had/still have protracted withdrawal syndrome from Clonazepam. Still working on it....

Best to have your physician direct it. I was taking 1mg per day at night. My doctor had me decrease by .25 every 6 weeks. I would hold to adjust and make another decrease. I did fine at .75 and .5 but started having anxiety and insomnia at .25 and 0.125 did practically nothing. I’ve been off for 14 months and still miss the calm and solid sleep but doing ok. I won’t go back. Good luck.

I suffer from anxiety
Doctor prescribed medicines which I took for 7 days and then switched to pranayam practice for 40 min on daily basis in evening and has given me very good results not requiring medicines
I used to get high blood pressure on anxiety attacks which is now well controlled
Your on my prayer list. I can't imagine how you get through the day. I believe in God and he has heard my cry for you. Remember you are never alone.

There are .125 dissolvable tablets.

I personally would only do it with one of the doses definitely not with every dose. My opinion only.
