Has anyone had a kidney transplant and diagnosed with colon cancer?

@bfranc, several members who have had organ transplant have been diagnosed with cancer after transplant. I'm sorry to hear that you've been diagnosed with colon cancer. How long ago did you have your kidney transplant? Will you have surgery for the colon cancer? How are you doing?

@bfranc, several members who have had organ transplant have been diagnosed with cancer after transplant. I'm sorry to hear that you've been diagnosed with colon cancer. How long ago did you have your kidney transplant? Will you have surgery for the colon cancer? How are you doing?

@colleenyoung I received this transplant on November 2023. This is my second kidney transplant. I was just diagnosed in September 2025. I will be having surgery on February 24. I also have metastasis to the liver. I’ve been feeling well, just with chemo I have low platelets. I have finished the first rounds of chemo, waiting what they decide after the surgery. I was just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience.
