Oh, and by the way, welcome to Connect and the head and neck group. We are patients, just like you. We usually can help with coping with side effects or what to expect going forward, or what we did for this or that problem.

2 ReactionsHello @paulab32 and welcome. If this is due to only Keytruda then only your medical team can help. Other causes can be dehydration and electrolyte imbalances which are common in cancer patients. I deal with those horrible leg cramps frequently, always when I have not been drinking enough. Try electrolyte solutions with magnesium added. I use a Nuun brand, liquid IV is another....there are many out there in drug stores and online. It seems like the electrolytes correct dehydration better than plain water. Good luck.

2 ReactionsI, like you , am on Keytruda but don’t have those side effects—just jaw aches that seem worse in the afternoon and ever worsening fatigue. My diet relies on Kate Farm and whatever else it takes to reach 2500 calories through my g-tube. Hydration isn’t a problema. But every one is a bit different—hang in there!

@paulab32, how are you doing? Did you contact your doctor or symptom management nurse about the side effects?
