Kevzara Side Effects?
I'm thinking of going off Prednisone and onto Kevzara. Having such bad side effects with Pred that I'm so wanting to stop taking it. The skin on my forearms and tops of my hands is paper thin and I'm covered in horrible blackish deep purple blotches, skin tears and bruises constantly. My hair is falling out. My eyes look like I have pinkeye. Plus I'm weak as a kitten.
So I'm wondering what sort of side effects those of you on Kevzara are having, if any?

Prednisone caused osteoporosis in my neck and back. Of course it also created a pregnant-looking belly. So I am wondering if Kevzara is better.
None of those side effects,
Did you already have osteopenia in the neck and bck nd this just raised it?
@tweetypie13 Hi. I had some osteopenia. But I take all the necessary supplements for bone health and still got osteoporosis.
@prettypatti76 bummer…..there are a lot of new things out there. Hope you find a solution
I’ve read that Prednisone can cause “buffalo neck” I think that’s what it’s called.
I’m all the time straightening up when I’m walking. I keep reminding myself.
Is that what you are referring to?
@stonewheel my trainer refers to it as
Old lady/man syndrome
Stand up tall sternum up and tall pulls shoulders back and down , longer strides.
It works, takes work. 😎

1 Reaction@stonewheel Good afternoon! My DEXA scan and an MRI have unfortunately confirmed osteoporosis. No "buffalo neck" yet. Thank goodness! But, prednisone does cause "moon face." I call prednisone the "Devil Drug," (DD for short), because of all its side effects!
@tweetypie13 that’s me.
