Hi,
I have high Kappa 2.62 and high kappa/lambda ratio 1.94. My last blood work was 2 weeks ago, and now says I have IgM lambda protein present in serum, but does not say any levels or numbers by it. I went to Mayo in 2022 for cardiomyopathy. They did tests for cardiomyopathy and blood work that caught the high FLC. My Mayo Cardiologist did not think I have MM or amylodosis. I hope they are right. This is scary stuff. So far in my home town they are watching it, and I have blood draws every 6 months.
I hope you continue to get answers you need. It helps to know there are others out there with same findings. Best regards.

2 ReactionsI’m no doctor but your numbers are similar to mine and I was diagnosed with MGUS. I have bloodwork done again in 3 weeks and am having a lot of anxiety

2 ReactionsYes, my hematologist said I am at the very beginning of MM. He said they will watch it with labs. They offered a bone marrow biopsy, but I think I will wait until I see him again in May.
I try to stay focused on my family and have peace with God. I am very thankful that I can be up and about. I can do daily activities. Yes I get tired a lot, and feel "off" but still thankful for being able to function.
Does your MGUS affect you physically? (only if you want to answer)
Keep your chin up. We have much to be thankful for.
🙂

1 ReactionHi,
My numbers are higher than yours and they’re checking me every year. My Kappa is 3.39 & Ratio is now 2.19 — so both High with Negative ANA (Auto-immune) so something is going on. My LDH is normal, but my ALP is at the highest end of normal which usually means something is happening in the Liver or the Bones. I’ve asked for an ISOENZYME test to determine where the high ALP is coming from. All these tests were done 7/24, so new tests to recheck are coming up in 7/25. I was having a bunch of weird symptoms that have now gone away. In terms of heart issues, I had AFib, which is an inflammatory condition with cardiac surgery to stop it 4/24. I no longer go into AFib so far. I’m wondering if heart issues can cause FLCs to spike without it being MGUS/MM/AML. Both parents died of Ca. As such, I have switched to an ultra low inflammatory diet, hoping to stop whatever is developing in its tracks.

2 Reactions@robinrossrn Hello..Your a strong lady. How are you doing.I just found out my FKLC is 51.3 and dr is sending me for a bone marrow and bone scan. Hoping for the best. I’m also dealing with an elevated IgG4 of 498 and low blood platelets and developed a splenic blood clot 2 months ago that did some liver damage..This all happened after my gallbladder was removed..Not sure if that played apart of it from the operation or not.

1 Reaction@ringo1970, what did the results of the bone marrow biopsy and bone scan reveal? How are you doing?
My tests have been elevated for years. I get labs to check on this every year . I suppose it depends upon how high. What does your doctor say? I hope you are going to Mayo or some other teaching hospital.
