Just a nice story and kudos to active 92 year old

I don't know what I like more about this story. The fact that the grandson is taking his grandmother to every National Park. Or the fact that she's 92 years old and apparently able-bodied and active. But kudos to both of them.

62 down – one to go! Grandson takes his grandma, 92, on a tour of 62 US national parks after finding out she'd never seen a mountain in person: Pair plan to make their final trip this year to National Park of American Samoa

What a beautiful model of travel for all of us: do what you enjoy at any age, and continue to WONDER about nature!!! I’m 84 and six years ago traveled to Japan alone for five weeks, as well as many other exciting places. It’s never too late to have adventures!! Béla

I haven't really traveled but looked forward to it for a long time, and then it never happened. But as I realise I have put my life on hold for so long, something is shifting just a little bit. You say you traveled alone to Japan, and that really is a country I always wanted to experience because it's so foreign and different; I wouldn't know where to start and would be discovering myself in the process as well.

What a terrific thing to do!

Exactly! You would be discovering yourself in the process and notice that you have changed and are not frightened to travel alone. What courage you will have. The Lonely Planet is always a good travel guide. My best bon voyage!

Thank you!
I will of course have to ride out this entire crisis before having any money for it, but looking at pictures and so on would be great to prepare.
The countries I would have loved to see are:
New Zealand
Japan
Chili
Thailand
North Korea (yeah I know)
Anything close to the Northern Lights!

I traveled to China alone in the past. You can start by collecting travel brochures for where you want to go. I went with a group under a travel program called Travelearn. The leader was a history teacher from Berekely. Decide on what you want to do and see and if there is anything too physically exerting for you to do. Then go and enjoy. I want this Co-vid thing to be over!

Add lysine to your daily intake. Most colds are RNA-based viruses from what I've read and lysine helps lower the reproduction of RNA viruses. And saved a pet's life when the veterinarian put him on it. Covid is also RNA-based so I nagged friends to take it after the wicked virus got exported. No one who did has been infected with covid.

Lysine is just an amino acid so in many foods. I take more during cold season and, new normal, viral pandemics.

Enjoy at least planning your Ireland trip. You can find pen pal-matching agencies and might make friends there before you go :‐).

Thank you. I have never heard of Lysine, I found information on the Internet from various reputable websites that it does boost the immune system. Thank you very much!!!
