I’ve had several bouts of otitis media-also electric pain zaps

As a child I had several ear infections due to swimmers ear- had at least 2 sets of tubes- as an adult I have had several ear infections otitis media-when that happens I get electric head zaps out of nowhere that come and go-fullness in the ears and diminished hearing as well as high pitched whine in both ears and ocular migraines-also intolerant of cold/wind my PCP said it may be TMJ TMD issue but no doctors here in Iowa can treat? Help! After the ear infection is clear the other symptoms remain and it is awful.

I have some history with the type of shock you describe - I call them zaps. I noticed them most after taking Xanax short term (only four total), but now I wonder if that was the cause. I have also had ear issues, including ruptured drums.

My PCP suggested getting a head MRI to rule out the Trigeminal nerve being involved. I have some disc issues in my neck but I’ve never addressed them I just do my best with posture and Tylenol or Ibuprofen. Usually one or the other helps.
