IV infusion for Osteoporosis

Posted by melissak7 @melissak7, May 9 10:42pm

After this IV treatment I went to my primary Doctor with severe neck pain an die was told it would subside. It's been two years and the pain is where I can't turn my head back from either side without pain. Why? Ive read this could be a side effect.

Good evening @melissak7 and welcome to Connect. This is a group of folks who believe in sharing with each other to help them resolve their medical conditions. I personally have found the Osteoporosis members very generous with their experiences. You do have to remember that almost everyone is unique with different responses to the same treatments and medications.

What I need from you is a bit more information. Would you please explain what the IV infusion was made of and what results you had, if any? Did the medication work for you in the beginning? Also, do you know the cause of your neck pain? Did you have an injury or were you told that it was the result of Osteoporosis?

I have had quite a bit of experience with neck pain as a result of a fall from my horse that wrenched my neck and left me in a reverse sling above the hospital bed for several days because of a large concussion. It took years, but my orthopedic surgeon finally found the cause in 2013 and I now have titanium clamps that keep my neck in its right place. It does "rattle and roll" once in a while and I do neck stretches every day to keep it flexible. My MFR therapist (myofascial release) sees me twice a week and she starts the session on my neck. That helps a lot.

Was the IV treatment just for your neck or other osteoporosis sites? I'm afraid I need a little more information from you about this condition so that I can be more informed and therefore more helpful. Because pictures often speak louder than words, I am attaching a photo of the repair work on my neck.

May you be free of suffering and the causes of suffering. I look forward to your response.
Chris

Evenity have lots of side effects.

Don't they all? Evenity actually grows bone that is why I am thinking of getting this. The others prescriptions actually don't grow the bone only keeps you from losing more bone? I've been researching.
