is this promising that my mom may be accepted for appt ?

hello to everyone, first time poster.
its the weekend so im asking here until i can get ahold of them on monday.
she has adrenal tumor and endo here referred to endo there.
they called 3/10 to explain i need to send imaging, and Doc would review and let us know what they would offer.
they read from script which said
" a doctor will review the records once received, to determine whether we might be able to provide tests or treatment options,
that are significantly different from evaluations or treatments that you already received ,
a decision will be made after the review, and you will receive a response as soon as a decision is made ".
-- Now we got an automated call this morning that said
' Calling , regarding your appt request, please call 507-266-0202 during business hours so we can talk to you about this request,
to stop receiving appt reminders and notifications, press 9 to opt out ".
A little more info,
She had a CT here yesterday and they did send the imaging to mayo, at noon yesterday, before radiology read it here, the results are not in from local radiology yet.
So just wondering, should we be hopeful that things may finally be looking up for her for an appt ?

If they are getting everything they need, and requested I don't see any reason why they wouldn't set up an appointment. They just want to make sure that they have everything that they need and request before they have an appointment with someone. It sounds promising with that phone call for you to call them back.

Take a deep breath. Grab a cup of coffee, and a cookie [or two]. Think good thoughts, and make that call on Monday morning to the number you were provided. Be prepared for anything they may say to you. Have paper and pen handy to take notes, and don't be afraid to have someone repeat the information if you do not understand it the first time you hear it. Write down any questions you might have about location/time/length of appointment/location, etc. Make sure they have the information they require to do a full review of your mother's situation.

How soon do you expect to hear about the result from your local radiology department?

Of course, that is wonderful news. Review your health insurance because some even allow a companion (you) to accompany your Mom to a Center of Excellence under the coverage, or even do so at your request. However, it may be useful after the first visit to find a physician/s that is connected with Mayo for further medical care, avoiding excessive travel, dependent upon the treatment plan.. The physician would collaborate with Mayo.

ginger, it will be tuesday before results come in from CT.
Harvey im confused on what you are saying.
Are you saying I can get care too, while there , if my insurance allows ?
im driving her there and will be there anytime - all the time she is there.

update.
Weird,
i haven't sent any imaging, so they must have received the imaging from the new ct directly on friday.
She has an appt 4/18, things are looking positive .

when im there and give them cds and paperwork records, how long before i get those back ?

They should be able to take copies of whatever's on the CD and give them back to you very quickly, all the paper work they should be able to just make copies of also and give those back to you right away!! Make sure you let them know that they need to make copies and give you back the originals.
