Is there a way to check status of request?

Posted by just1me @just1me, Jun 3 9:47pm

Hello everybody. I was wondering if there was a way to follow-up to see if a decision had been made on offering an appointment. For background, I submitted an appointment request about 3 weeks ago. I got the initial email saying a response would be given within 7-10 business days, but that has passed and I haven't gotten a call or an email either way. I don't want to be a bother but I also need to know if I should be looking elsewhere because time is wasting away. I've checked the patient portal and there is no info there either. Thanks in advance for any information you can offer.

@just1me,
Welcome to Mayo Connect. Your file is probably being reviewed to see if Mayo would be able to help. It is hard to wait for a response when you want things to happen now. Seeing it has been 3 weeks, I think I would be fine to call and ask status.

Were you doing a self referral or did your provider refer you?
Were you asked to submit medical records?

I'd give it a month. My acceptance was a snailmail letter so on the possibility it got lost I'd call and ask.
