Is swelling really bad ? I went to the hospital and they just sent me home ,i was in a car accident last year on june 25th it was head on collision and there was 3people who passed away and i had a few things going on with me that night Left broken arm upper and lower bonens and broken intestines, colon tear, shattered Left pelvis bone, and swollen right arm ,i had to be put to sleep for the surgeries and i had a liver tear and i started getting a high fever my liver was failing ,from there on they had to keep watching me but it got better but i wouldnt move my right arm and so they saw that i tore 3nerves in different places and i was getting movement back besides my hand and fingers but i stopped doing my exersizes for a little bit and then started again and i noticed my hand swollen and every hour or so it would swell up more and i feel less and so yesterday i went to the hospital and they did an ultrasound and they said there wasnt anything new or bad but i feel like liquid running to my arm when i try to do exersizes like something rushing down my hand and pressure and heavy obviously i never felt this before i did feel fluid type behind my elbow my boyfriend tried to massage it before the swelling began could that be the cause? Anybody else gone through this?

Hi @jreyna4, welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. I'm one of the community moderators here. I'm so sorry to hear about your accident, I can imagine how difficult your recovery must have been. Did it seem like the rehab exercises helped when you were doing them?
