Is plasmaphetesis a potential fix for IGA events.

IGA was detected with a biopsy, driving a quick decline in kidney function. I understand many immune disorders can be reset by replacing plasma or plasmapheresis. Anyone experienced with this?

@u4gmlglm Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. I have Stage 3 CKD and I believe it has something to do with IGA. It has been a while since my testing. I have been through pre-transplant evaluation, was approved & accepted for kidney transplant and got inactive listing at Mayo Transplant Center in Rochester, MN. My blood type is O-.
I used to coordinate the blood drive at my church and I used to know about plasma (a long time ago). I can’t say that I recall what plasmapheresis is. You pose an interesting question. I will be waiting with you for other members to respond. Do you have a source for your information?
