Is my friends wife cheating on her? Let me explain...

My friend (27, born a female) is with her wife (30+ born a male)

My friend was diagnosed with pre cancer of the cervix and to my knowledge only sleeps with her wife, unprotected.

I know that cervical cancer/pre cancer is pretty much only caused by HPV.

I'm worried this means either she is sleeping around and isn't telling me the whole story or her wife is and cheating on her and gave her HPV. What's going on? What do I do?

Let her handle her relationship, don’t bring up cheating. If anything, it could be worth gently suggesting the HPV vaccine for her, her partner, and any partners they may have.

@ehdog HPV could have happened MANY years ago and just now the effects are showing up. The virus can silently be dormant, only to reactivate down the road. That's why it is so important for ALL sexually active people to get the vaccine.
Please try to put your suspicion away and support your friends as they navigate this scary time. And please do not spread your thoughts within your circle-they have a way of getting repeated and amplified.
