Hi @sweet25102006
Welcome to our group at Connect!
I'm sorry to hear about your eucalyptus oil accident and the cluster of seizures that followed.
I also developed epilepsy due to intoxication in childhood. My seizures were initially controlled but resurfaced during my teenage years when hormonal changes began. As a doctor once explained to me, epilepsy can stay silent for several years. I later learned that my intoxication caused mesial sclerosis in my brain, which led to my epilepsy.
From readings, I have learned that toxin-induced seizures may be temporary if the toxin is cleared from your system. Have you had the chance to discuss that with your doctor?
Besides the EEG, have you undergone additional testing such as an MRI? Brain imaging can help identify any structural changes from the toxic exposure and provide important information for your treatment plan.
I hope you're adjusting well to your medications and finding the support you need.
