I've taken it in the past with no more relief than advil.
I'm on a full year of suffering, went a year ago to neuro surgeon, he said "nothing he can do"
I'm putting my foot down and want relief.

Me also
Was on Gabapentin for few years and didn’t really think it helped me much.
Was up to 1800mg per day when my new Neuro doc told me to try and get off it, which is what I did.
Didn’t realize it caused so many cognitive issues, which now I can look back on and attribute to the drug.

im taking gabapentin 300 mg just before i go to bed at night and because my dr prescribed to me when i told her i was planning to try medical marihuana for my rehumatoid arthritis wich is a lot of pain every single day i was also complaining of sciatic and to top it off about a year and a half ago i fell and broke my hip i had surgery but since then im on a walker and im very devastated
cause i was a very active and fast doing things now it takes me about an hour or so to cook my very simple meals especialy because my deformed hands and fingers due to my so cruel RA. not to mention my toes . to finish this poor story let me tell that "advil dual action" is helping me to keep moving and planing to continue gabapentin as long as i dont get any side efects, thanks for reading me
I am 80 with moderate to severe stenosis. Eight weeks ago I could not stand for over 5 minutes or walk even a quarter mile. I began with 600 daily which did nothing. I increased to 900 for about 3 weeks. Very little change. I increased to 1200 daily which is what I am on now. Still pain when standing for 5 minutes, and cannot walk the quarter mile without needing to stop to sit. I will ask doc to allow an increase to 1800 daily. If the higher doses do not work, I will need to talk to a neurosurgeon. Also not experiencing any side effects. I will provide updates if I increase the dosage. Good luck to all of you. I know what it's like to deal with pain.
Nerve pain from past spinal fusions. But I’m experiencing some new neuropathy in my legs and it’s not responding very well to the gabapentin so I will talk to my doctor on Tuesday about cutting it back.
MY MEDICALLY RETIRED MILITARY DAUGHTER TAKES 2400 MG A DAY TO TRY TO MANAGE AMPUTATION PHANTOM NERVE PAIN.

@leigh17 What kind of pain are you experiencing? Does 2400 daily ease your pain? How long have you been on 2400? Thanks.
