IPF and Covid boosters

Posted by ch47 @ch47, May 31, 2023

My husband has IPF; we both had the Covid shot series, and one booster when they first came out. All pre his IPF diagnosis 6 months ago. Should we continue with boosters as it has been a long time since our last shots?
Thank you for any info

@ch47, here's some general information about Covid vaccination

For specific guidance for you and your husband, I suggest consulting with your doctor and/or pulmonologist.

Colleen, thank you for sharing this info. Did check with one doc several weeks ago; she is a big believer in natural immunity. Of course, she did think that the pulmonologist might recommend for him. We both had Covid about a year ago…but since my husband’s PF diagnosis (and I have controlled asthma) I am really wondering. Don’t see our pulmonary doc until mid July-just thinking that maybe we should get another opinion before then. Or, just get the shot….
