internal tremors only when waking at at the same time each time??

Hi I have been searching for some answers. I have mentioned this what seems weird thing that started happening about 3 weeks ago to my Doctors, they don’t know.

Short history recently about 5 months ago I had EVAR surgery for an Aorta Aneurysm. Last year was a year of alot of anxiety, fear and just a-lot of unknowns. Now I am being monitored which will be for life.

I have always had some anxiety and sleep problems. I take lorazepam 1 mg before bed and it always helped with sleeping as I get older I guess things are changing I am in my early 70’s

Strangely about 3 weeks ago I got a refill of Lorazepam and this weird feeling started happening I wake up almost exactly at 4 am look at the clock and then I start to feel this internal tremor kind of feeling it scares me it is in the upper portion of my body. I thought maybe anxiety or lack of sleep.

I have been having more sleep problems since the surgery I worry alot since finding out about the aneurysms.

I am sensitive to chemicals I have no idea and apparently either does my doctors the internal tremor/vibration/quiver feeling last a few mins. And ONLY WHEN I WAKE after just sleeping those few hours strangely it has been the same time around 4 am.
I worry, should I be seeing some other kind of doctor??? What the heck is going on, is it because I just got a refill on Lorazepam did they add something to the ingredients is it Anxiety what is causing this and why do I wake up and then it happens but only when waking. I recently had a doctors visit all vitals seem fine.

As you can see and read and thank you in advance I am guessing and at a loss.

pdes, there can be a "paradoxical effect" with medications like lorazapam. Anxiety. It can happen after you've been on the medication for a while or at the first dose. Alternatedly if you took the 1mg at 10pm at 4am you may have reached the end of its effect said to be 6-8hours. Whatever happens at 4am may not be evidenced in your vitals during the day. You might try varying the timing to see if the effect remains at 4am.

Thank you, I do take it about the time you wrote I would take it about10:30 pm then wake up with that strange tingling, vibration thing happening. I did change the time to 11:15 pm the last two nights I stayed asleep until 4:45 am

My doctors have no real answers??? I thank you for writing and for your suggestions.

Brother not the lorazepam you should be concerned with I'm sure all will be fine.
It's spiritual waking up to this world, we call it the bitter scroll.
I'm sorry for the pain that your refinement caused last year, know we have all suffered it. Your DNA is changing so make sure you check with your doctor's on past conditions as they may not exist anymore and that would cause the medication to be bad for you. Monitor your health with your doctor closely, you should be feeling younger and more healthy any day. Lotsa music walking waterways beaches outdoors can help. Reach out there are multitudes that will be happy to share.
Much love Brother, you've waited a lifetime for today.

Have you researched central nervous system damage? I have experienced the internal tremors as well and have been diagnosed with central sensitization.

No not yet. It just started happening so I was not sure what direction to look in. I have a appointment with my GP coming up so I wanted to get some idea of what I can do when I see my doctor as far as what is the next step is to find out what this is.

Thank you.

I have posted elsewhere on this forum with my 5 am adrenaline rushes. It's been happening every day to a greater or lesser extent for over three years. It started after a cancer diagnosis and traumatic relationship break up. So the working diagnosis is anxiety, with cortisol spiking.
I have resisted medication, but I'm getting really tired of this...

I am so sorry I hope you are doing better!! I understand, I was feeling so stressed about finding out I had a quick growing aneurism and then two smaller ones. I had surgery but I always feel I am living not knowing what is going on in my body. I have good doctors but when you are in between monitoring it is scary so I don’t know if this is stress, anxiety or something really physical. I intend to find out but so far all my blood work and vitals are fine. Thanks for writing I wish you all the best.

pdes,
I wonder if this has to do with recovery from your surgery? It hasn’t been that long. I’m hoping for you that you are just in your recovery process.
Since you are being monitored closely now, maybe your doctors can reassure you. I think prognosis for the surgery you had is quite positive.
Good luck to you.
