Intermittent Sleep has Become a Problem: Suggestions?

Posted by ladybugmg @ladybugmg, Sep 22, 2018

Intermittent sleep has become a problem for me during the last fews months. I sleep for about two hours and then stay awake until I drink a cup of Tension Tamer Tea and go on the Internet and that helps me get back to sleep for about three hours. The doctor prescribed Tizanidine and although I filled the prescription I have not taken it Any suggestions from those dealing with this situation.

I have solved the problem by eating a salt free rice cake smeared with cream cheese or cottage cheese about a hour before bedtime. I have been sleeping 6-8 hours a night and only get up once to go to the bathroom. When I am stressed out from something that happened during the day and wake up during the night I drink a cup of Tension Tamer Tea and usually get back to sleep in about half an hour. I hope this helps someone dealing with this problem.

Hi, @ladybugmg - that is good news that you're sleeping 6-8 hours a night now. Wondering if you'd share a bit more about the salt-free rice cake with cream cheese or cottage cheese? How did you happen upon this solution?

It was in an article about foods that contain something that helps with falling asleep.

I just saw an interesting article on MPR News on the power of sleep that I thought I would share.
