What else can show up and how long will it take to have final results?

I had a needle biopsy done on an enlarged groin lymph node. It came back with benign results within a week. But my dr wasn’t satisfied, and sent me to a surgeon who advised removal. It turned out to be folicular lymphoma. So I suggest you keep looking for information. At least until everything is ruled out. These tests can take up to 2 weeks for results. The waiting is hell.

How big was your lymph node?
Did you have other symptoms?

My node was a little over 2 centimeters. I hadn’t been feeling well, sort of achy and so tired I could fall asleep sitting up in a chair. I’ve since had 2 more biopsies for suspicious lumps which were manifestations of lymphoma which I do not understand. But no treatment needed. Also, 2 CT scans which indicated swollen nodes in various places in my body. Still no treatment needed yet. I feel pretty good now, and I’m back into exercising. Hope this helps.

By the way, I have lost about 8 pounds since this started. I’m not sure if it is related or not. My appetite hasn’t been great.
