Increased pain seasonal?

Posted by tdinnen @tdinnen, Apr 14 4:31pm

my pain has recently increased, it hurts to walk, to sleep on my right side, even sitting. Could it be seasonal? I am taking 20mg duloxetine (why does everyone wean themselves off of this med?), 4mg LDN, omegas and turmeric, and occasional tramadol to get through a work day . Any suggestions? This is scary as I am only 68, never expected to be unable to walk or hike, my main exercise for 50 years. Help!

I know this is a hard part of the illness but almost all of us deal with it. The only thing you can do is treat your symptoms. However, it is surprising how much meditation and EFT (emotional freedom technique/tapping) can make a difference long term with regular routine.

Tapping calms your nervous system and gets to the root of the issue! It's extremely powerful. It is clear you have emotions tied to the pain. Watch Nick Ortner on pain

I’m certain my fibro symptoms are tied to my allergies, and they are much worse during tree and ragweed pollen seasons.

I hope this is the case for you and your current pain levels will fade with the pollen!

I personally didn’t like duloxetine because it made me dizzy.

Best of luck to you!

I am fairly new on a journey to understand what is happening to my body. I have noticed stormy weather may the reason my symptoms flare. I have read symptoms may be associated with low barometric pressure. Conditions like migraines, arthritis pain and Fibromyagia could be affected.

Could be anything. Make an appointment with a woman doctor. Too many possibilities beginning with "nothing" to maybe needing your hips replaced. Not enough to look at. Better to start seeing a doctor and start narrowing the possibilities. ...

I thought it was just me! I am in so much pain on my right side and neck. The whole right side of my back was swollen. Also, very fatigued.

We just had a big temperature change (from 70's to freezing) and I woke up really feeling it. FWIW, I don't seem to have problems with changes in barometric pressure, which I keep track of because I am a trained National Weather Service spotter. That said, I think we with fibro all have different triggers; ever since I left my bad marriage and stressful job, my fibro is MUCH better. I don't think that is a coincidence!

@nkveene Thank you for reminding me about EFT! Yes, I am going to incorporate this daily, because my pain has become emotional as it prevents me from things I love.
God bless and thank you!!!!
