In person or online support groups

I am searching for an online or in person depression support group in the Tomah or LA Crosse Wi area. Any suggestions?

Hello @weber52151

I'm glad that you posted this question. Often depression is much easier to deal with when you have a support group. As you have seen, here on Connect we have several discussion groups that deal with depression and you should feel free to post on any of these discussions. You will undoubtedly find many people who will relate to your problems with depression. Here is the link to the many discussion groups, https://connect.mayoclinic.org/group/depression-anxiety/.

If you would like to find some more personal support, I would suggest that you look at NAMI's website. Here is the link, https://nami.org/Support-Education/Support-Groups#. On this website, you can find a group that meets in your vicinity.

In order to connect you with other members who have posted, please share (as you are comfortable doing so) how long have you been dealing with depression and what treatments (meds or therapy) you have tried?

Has anyone ever mentioned Emotions Anonymous? There are free online meetings you can tune into. It is a 12 Step Program for people with emotional issues. I am finding it helpful.
