Things that have been approved immunotherapy in the United States are Opdivo which is the sibling of Keytruda. Like a male female relationship. This is one avenue to ask your doctor about. If they don’t offer much hope, there is a Dr Ralf Kleef in Austria who treats with immunotherapy combination drugs in reduced amount so that it is more safe.
In the meantime if you are being only told about chemotherapy, I would highly recommend learning about coffee enemas. They cause the liver to detox quickly. A liver can completely regenerate itself within 9 months. Also check out Chris Warks website Square One. It is a natural approach..... helping yourself in my opinion is using the best of both worlds. I do not agree with using traditional chemo with Stage 4 colon cancer as it is a very low success rate. Dr Kleef is an oncologist so he uses immunotherapy but he is integrative and also uses natural things like mistletoe and a unique treatment to I crease body temperature safely to kill cancer cells. Just know there is so much stuff out there. Stop all sugar that doesn’t come from fruits and vegetables in their natural form , stop all processed foods immediately. These are all my personal opinions and aren’t meant to be used as medical counseling, but so do want you to be aware of many things around you so that it isn’t cookie cutter treatment. Like I said the results for golfos and Folfuri in Stage 4 colon cancer speaks for themselves. I pray you have a chance to pray and seek Gods guidance for you and remember through faith you can be healed. The Bible says it and the Bible does not lie.

@mdking123 interesting read. I was lucky with my colon re-section. Found early, no spread, so lost some length of my colon and my gallbladder. That was kind of a mystery. My surgeon didn’t say anything about removing my gallbladder. Learned it while in the hospital when the nurses were changing shifts and reporting to each other. I have since read that there is thought or a connection between re-occurring cancer and the gallbladder. Guess, he was just giving me a better outcome (?). I have always thought what you eat directly effects your body and quality of life. But cancer is abnormal cells and we are made up of cells. So, a clean diet and alternative methods can only go so far. I remember my Mom told me years ago anytime you mess with your natural rhythm, you will “pay the piper” down the line. Apparently, she was way ahead of her time and taught me a lot about food, lifestyle and taking care of myself (in general). I always think about what she said when I am making a health/medical decision. virgo

Immunotherapy is the use of medicines to help a person’s own immune system better recognize and destroy cancer cells. Immunotherapy can be used to treat some people with advanced colorectal cancer. Integrative medicine, which is a combination of medical treatments for cancer and complementary therapies to cope with the symptoms and side effects, is increasingly offered at premiere cancer centers around the world, including Mayo Clinic.

When considering complementary or alternative treatments, be open-minded yet skeptical and do your research. Learn about the potential benefits and risks. Here is an article from Mayo Clinic that might interest you about evaluating claims made by the producers and/or sellers of supplements, natural products and other alternative medicines. http://mayocl.in/2tGC0Jp

Here is just one article examining the claims made by Chris Wark:
- From Science Base Medicine https://sciencebasedmedicine.org/chris-beat-cancer-a-comprehensive-guide-to-making-a-killing/

"There’s no scientific evidence that proves or disproves that coffee enemas are helpful to treat any medical condition. Evidence for or against the use of coffee enemas is mostly anecdotal. In mainstream medicine, colon cleansing is considered unnecessary because your body’s digestive system is capable of getting rid of waste, toxins, and bacteria on its own."

@colleenyoung. I consider myself opened minded and have a holistic approach with treatments and lifestyle. I read the articles, learned from them. I hesitate to start practicing some of methods on my own. I think it can be detrimental to the bodies way of breaking down your foods and eliminating the waste. The body is an amazing thing, but I wonder if some of these treatments/methods create different problems; and, I don’t feel that exchanging one for another is something I want to do. It’s seems to always be a trade off, whether medically approved or not. It’s a gamble. But, each person needs to make his/her decision

The most important thing with any of this is do YOUR OWN RESEARCH. No 2 people are alike. You have to do what you think will help you. I just wanted you to know there is an outside the box as well as an inside the box. Many people don’t find out about the oust side the box until the traditional path has failed and their bodies are too weak to be helped. Do your OWN Research. You will find arguments on both sides of everything. Find your comfort but just know there is more than just the old chemo cocktail that has an 11percent cure rate for Stage 4 Colon Cancer.

i was on the test drug Immunotherapy, not sure what name it was. I have stage 4 Colin, which went to liver, prior to any Colin surgery they wanted me on chemo prior to surgery based on amount of cancer in liver. I noticed big reduction in size of the tumors in the liver, uncertain if it did any reduction in Colin, but i ended up having 3 stents inserted prior to Colin surgery. There was over 50% in sizes of tumors in liver. Since i am back on chemo again, i would like to get back on Immunotherapy, but there saying they aren't taking any new patients in right now. Good luck with yours 👍

My husband was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in April, surgery removed a baseball sized tumor. Scan shows several lesions in lung. Meeting with CA MD next week. Sounded like chemo was recommended. Do they automatically do genetic counseling or do we have to ask for that option? I have so many questions, not sure where to even start. I just assume the CA doctors are used to this and help us maneuver through this maze of options...... Thanks for listening as our journey continues.

bjs06, My heart goes out to you and your husband! I went through exactly the same thing as your husband 20 years ago! Identical with the lesions on the lung!
My experience with chemo was not good! a month after the tumor I started chemo. By the end of my first week I had a Giant Infection or reaction to the chemo drug, 5 FU & licovoron.
Two weeks later I was in the ER and given a couple hours to live! I was in a coma for 14 days in Intensive ICU with around the clock care. I spent another two weeks recovering after the coma!
With good care and understanding people I survived.
When I got out the doctor wanted me to go through chemo again.
My daughter and I said NO!
I changed me outlook on Life to defeat the disease! I spent the next year working out of my motor home traveling the Rockyy Mountain Area from Mexico to Canada!
That year I was on all or part of the day for 150 + days on trout rivers, streams and lakes flyfishing. Learning about Life!
Business wise it was the Best I had ever had!
Not to Brag but the cancer has never reacoured!
My point is the cure is in your mind and soul! You have to will it to be gone!
Your husband and you have your own decisions to make!
My thought is I would have the operation but leave it up to my mind to heal.
Maybe it was meant to be that I had that I had the reaction! I had to change my way I look at life and how I lived it!!
MY THOUGHTS, BLESSINGS, AND PRAYERS GO OUT TO YOU AND YOUR HUSBABAND!
RICHARD (SUNDANCE)
