I'm scared I have early onset of PC

Posted by diamondback2k9 @diamondback2k9, Dec 9 2:43pm

I'm a 38 year old male and I have been through so much testing. I have had two CT scans one Ultrasound. None are showing issues with anythjng other than some possible onset of fatty liver. I haven't been drinking in awhile limit my acholol
Intake. One CT scan resulted in the removal of my appendix. My blood work was fine lipise levels were 18 but jumped to 30 on a random test. I have been diagnosed with EpI and have been on creon my test for that was 200 and it has been helping. My blood sugar was 150 but it was right after I ate. My liver blood work is fine. I have pain right below my sternum that and some times back pain. Doesn't get worse with eating. Low engery levels for the past few days. Today I was eating some noodles and Inhad pain in my upper chest. Ended up spitting up some thick clear junk. Inwas able to eat fine after that. I have no clue what's wrong.

@sdancev Where did you see a diagnosis of adenocarcinoma in that CT report?

What lead to this was I was having a lot of loose bowel movements with upper GI pain and some back pain. That's when I had my first CT which resulted in my appendix being removed. Issues continued and I keep pushing for answers.

Not sure if this is helpful, my Husband’s CT w/ contrast did not show his Pancreatic mass. MRI with contrast did, this prompted needle biopsy which confirmed PDAC, not sure if other Pancreatic cancers show differently. He was told that due to tissue density of the Pancreas that with CT imaging his mass was not visible and typically only would be visible due to the affect the mass had on surrounding tissue. He also received MRI due to an elevated CA-19, a blocked bile duct and his family history (a Maternal Aunt and Mother who had passed due to PDAC) I can understand your concerns with your ongoing symptoms. Continue to seek medical evaluation and testing so that they can hopefully find the cause. Praying for answers for you.

@yellie

Thank you. The testing is certainly hard on the pocket book. My GI dr certainly said the PC would have been caught on the two CT scans and ultrasound that I had. She was didn't suggest anymore imagining best on my blood work and other test. I'm going too get a second opinion next week if my nerves don't get the best of me first. I may and push for a MRI but my finds are running low.

Got a referral for MRI after pushing. Restarted my
PPI and it's been helping a lot.

Just got back from the Dr. They did an A1C test. Which they said was normal. Not sure why the sharp increase though. I have an MrI scheduled for New Year's Eve. I'm scared even though everyone says I'm okay.

A1C at the dr was normal but higher? Maybe a result from creon? My trigrecides were also high on my latest blood work. Not sure what that is about.
