I’m having blackout they only last a couple of seconds, but I’m aware

my doctor is on a wait and see, I have two brain aneurysms, and a meningioma, are very small. However, in the last couple of weeks, I’ve experienced two blackouts they only last a couple of seconds but one of them was while I was driving. I pulled over sat for a few minutes while I got my bearings and calmed my heart. Has anyone else ever experienced this?

Are the blackouts a new development? Does your doctor know about the blackouts? My best wishes to you in a difficult time.

But if I were in your situation, I would find a new doctor who specializes in this type of symptom, and also quit driving until the episodes were controlled. Depending on your state laws, any accidents caused by an episode, could have legal as well as the obvious consequences.

I say this as someone who late in life developed epilepsy and knows how disruptive not being able to drive, is. In my case, the medicine my neurologist prescribed controlled the seizures. And I could drive again.

I have experienced this type seizure weekly. They told me I had a focal seizure.

I have had surgery since then. (June).

I haven't had one seizure since surgery but I still don't drive.
