ibuprofen and acetaminophen combo helps?

Posted by 1995victoria @1995victoria, Jan 8 9:35am

While my doctor doesn't want me to take NSAIDS, he said maybe occasionally it would be ok. Acetaminophen maybe helps maybe 10%, I always used to use aspirin before doctor said no, so wondering if a combo medication would work occasionally?

@1995victoria Meloxicam only has a problem when taken on an empty stomach. Can cause some stomach irritation as time goes on. But oncology treatment issues represent an entirely different scenario.

@indyanthony I think the typical dosage of Meloxicam is 15 mg once a day. So, splitting the tablet in half and taking it then 12 hours apart makes a lot of sense.

@laughlin1947 yes, actually I have switched to Meloxicam 15 mg every morning since I left my last comment. It seems to work better for me because I can get through more of the day without breaking out the NSAIDs. I find it annoying to have to take meds every three hours!
