I would like to hear from those who have side effects from prolia
Hi
Okay I'll try to synopsize this 2023-24 dcis breast cancer her 2 negative stage 0 .I had 20 hits of radiation . I already had osteoporosis with one fracture in my T8 which happened in 2022 January rolling over in bed. 5 months later I fractured my t7 and 8 doing nothing rolling over in bed so I have been on a infusion of zoldronic acid for 4 years. This past July 21st I bent down to turn on the shower and all three refractured. The doctor switched me to prolia which I was very apprehensive about doing. Had my first shot September 9th 2026. First week was okay second and third week I have felt horrible fatigue, nausea ,headache. I've read a few posts on here about people that had to stop the drug so I don't know what's going to happen but I'm not feeling well. Also I just had blood work and I got anemia after the radiation. And now it's worse after the prolia shot, my hemoglobin is dropped to 110 so just wondering if anyone else can share their story of this medication because if I don't start feeling better shortly I'm not getting another shot I'll have to go back on my infusion.
Thanks

1 ReactionI was on Prolia years ago. I only had one injection and I was having terrible leg cramps at night. My Dr took me off it. I had tried the pills prior to the Prolia & had bad reactions to them. I startled Evenity 4 months ago and received 3 injections. I'm done, I'm so tired all the time, gained weight and it's caused my scleroderma and raynauds to really act up. The pain in my hands is so bad. The shots were so painful and caused swelling & bruising for a week. I've never been able to take any medication well. The plan was to have me take Evenity for a year then put me on Reclast but reading what others have said on here I know I won't be able to take that either. Now what ?

Hi
I like you I'm extremely sensitive to medication because of my fibro. I actually did not have any side effects to zoledronic acid or reclast the other name. The only thing I had to do was make sure I hydrated the day before and the morning of and also take a Tylenol other than that it was fine. If you're able and you've never had a cancer I would look into HRT. I would go back on that in a heartbeat but I've had breast cancer so I can't take it anymore.
As for me I don't know what my endocrinologist is going to want to do. I know I am not getting another one of these shots.
