I wonder if there are certain exercises that might strengthen the lower esophageal sphincter?

I should have said: I bought the IQoro when I was in Sweden and I'm using it to help with swallowing problems.

I was just diagnosed with Hill Grade IV. The spincture between my esophagus and stomach remains open with no flap, which enables all stomach content to go into my esophagus. Im really stressed about this and am hoping to hear from others who are familiar with this problem.

@scaredcat I’m having the same issue and put the surgery off , I ran into a friend whose wife is the surgery tech for the surgeon. He told me if that surgeon said I needed it he knows what he’s talking about and his dad is a lot older than me and put it off causing esophagus erosion . I’m going to go thru with it as soon as I make sure I don’t need another back surgery! I can’t use my cpap because I wake up choking, because of back pain I sleep in a recliner I still wake up choking so it’s time to fix it.

Please let me know how it goes. I dont know anyone else who has this. I just started having problems in the past 6 months or so, and although I have discomfort throughout the day, its at its worse when Im laying down.. Has your esophagus shown any signs of damage?
