I wonder if there are certain exercises that might strengthen the lower esophageal sphincter?

The diet change has helped me, so I no longer take a ppi. I made the mistake of eating a Boston cream donut and had one reflux episode. I think the problem is sugar or other addfitives in processed foods.

Any way to check and test safely? i fear gastroscopy... I am in Tanzania, I know no doctors here, and i read that if there are any esophageal ulcers, the tube itself could worsen them. Besides the side effects of all sedatios...

PS
I've been taking PPI for 2 months and then 2 months break and then again 2 months. When I dont take i need lozenges. The only thing that really give me rapid relief to burning throat sensation (and cloves at times).

A novel exercise is described for resistance training of the lower esophageal sphincter. Resistance is provided by gravity as food is swallowed and pushed up an incline into the stomach. The incline is established by kneeling with the head bowed lower than the stomach. I haven’t tried this yet. I feel so apprehensive about this exercise. I wish you the best of luck. I hope it works. Let’s us know if this helps you.
