That depends on what light chain disease one has and what stage and treatment options. If would be good to get a detailed description from an oncologist or hematologist on what your diagnosis means.
My light chains are off and my dr's are doing nothing about it even my hematologist they are blaming my sjogrens syndrome, What should I be looking for?
Primary Sjögren's syndrome (pSS) can have elevated free light chains. Is your hematologist for MGUS or some another condition? Sjögren's can increase one's risk of lymphoma. PSS can have many effects beyond dry eyes and mouth. I have IgA Kappa MGUS, my kappa free light chain (FLC) levels are around 300 and kappa/lambda ratio is 28; these are way above baseline but I am still asymptomatic. So, it depends partly on how elevated your FLCs are and also which ones. I don't have an M spike yet, for example, but kappa and IgA are elevated. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/6406594/ https://medlineplus.gov/lab-tests/free-light-chains/
