I’m so sorry. I too have RCC it’s different for me because I’m older but I do have stage 4. Mine has had a complete response to immunotherapy but I understand your anxiety. So, I just take one day at a time and try not to worry about what’s out of my control. You’re so young and they’ve caught your disease early. You have time for newer treatments and I’m going to pray for you. I know anxiety sucks, over time mine has improved. I also believe you’ll be okay.

The magic can be that when in doubt cut it out and clear margins comment from the surgron. There is life with one kidney. Mine was removed in 1964 and I am 80. I have had 2 children and many surgeries. I watch what medication choices are made that could affect my remaining kidney; but you can surely live with one.

@shaykay09, I can imagine you're anxiety is through the roof. To be diagnosed at such a young age and having seen your dad go through kidney cancer must be frightening.

Do you have a confirmed diagnosis of renal cell carcinoma (RCC)?

You mentioned stage 1. That is good news to have found it in an early stage. What are next steps for you? How are you doing?
