I have lingering Covid cough after completing the COVID medication.

Can I transmit Covid after 10 days of isolation and completion of Covid meds if I still have a lingering cough. I am a volunteer helper for a elderly house bound woman who not received her Covid booster yet. I don’t want her to catch Covid from me. Yet she need’s physical help. Comments please.

Coughing is also a long-haul symptom (I have had one since Dec. 2020). In your case, I would:

* Get tested: https://www.cdc.gov/icatt/testinglocator.html
* Wear a mask

I had COVID cough for months last year after having Double Covid pneumonia & asthmatic bronchitis. This year, my second round of COVID was not nearly as severe and I have no lingering cough and I am so grateful. Hang on. It does get better. I personally would not think after 10 days you would not be contagious, but, please check with your primary doctor for his protocol on that. Blessings....
