Posted by spower @spower112000liverpoo, 5 days ago

I have found that Tart Cherry Juice 1 /2 cup to 1 cup twice a day?

Has anyone else tried Tart Cherry Juice plus magnesium every day to help reduce the tingling and strange sensations. I have found it helps me. I have Parkinson’s disease. Would love to know if anyone else has tried this.

Hello @spower112000liverpoo, I take magnesium as one of the supplements for neuropathy and I have on occasion tried tart cherry juice but not on a regular basis. @dadcue posted this reference in a discussion in the PMR group that mentions tart cherry juice has some health benefits.

I also found this research from 2015 that mentions it might be helpful for neuropathy.

So, I may try adding it to my daily regimen very soon. Thanks for posting this discussion!

This "research" was a poster session in a conference. As a former professor who assisted with poster session reviews I can say with full confidence that this type of abstract has poor peer review for its research relevance. Many of such poster sessions were/are methods to allow "researchers" to present at a conference and thereby claim funding assistance by their organization to attend the conference. Don't put much faith in this type of abstract.

I think most major grocery stores or health stores carry the tart cherry juice. If you have a Trader Joe's close by - https://www.traderjoes.com/home/products/pdp/100-red-tart-cherry-juice-041747.

I have tried tart cherry juice from time to time. It is recommended as a help for arthritis sufferers. I also take magnesium glyconate as a vitamin supplement. My neuropathy is not painful--I do think tart cherry juice can be helpful. You will need to take it for several days in a row in order to see if it helps.

I live in Canada . It was Product from Lakeland Florida. It was in the organic section of the store. There is a black Cherry also ,but the Tart is supposedly the best to treat the neuropathy. 1/2 cup twice a day

I’ve been trying tart cherry juice as well. Lakewood is the brand that I use. Be careful with cost. I go to the local supermarket. Pay like $10 for it. Whole Foods more like 13. I think it’s helpful, but I never tried the magnesium with it. What type of magnesium? Glycinate?

I purchased an organic brand of tart cherry juice for $5.99 at Parrot Coffee Shop which is a European food store here in my nabe. I know Stop N Shop carries Knudsen and Lakeland brands in the ten dollar range. I take magnesium glycinate as I was told it is more absorbent than magnesium oxide. Hope that the juice helps!
